Very cold, slight wind, cloudy.
Brierly Park
Like Bestwood Country Park this is another fine example of restoring exhausted collieries back to nature. Being old spoil heaps they provide the same type of meadows etc, and with added tree planting it makes a marvellous site allround. There are good footpaths that seem endless. We kept within the park itself. The other routes will do for another day. Note, being a Monday the visitor centre was closed. And importantly those of you like me and George with impatient bladders, the toilets too!
