Tophill Low
At last our first flycatcher. Richard, the warden, pointed it out to us, as he as before for our first Chiffchaff. I expected something a bit more exotic having a name like that. Never mind I hear the Pied one is quite attractive. You know up to now Margaret, my ears, has not seen a Kingfisher. Well we had returned to the cars and she had still not seen one. Myself , Joan and George decided to carry on to North Marsh hide. Margaret was tired and stayed in the car. Yes we get to the hide and after a few minutes one turns up and sits on a small twig right in front of us for the next 20 minutes. I could almost have had time to go back and fetch her. She was happy enough with the Flycatcher.
