25th June '08 Forge Valley

Forge Valley

Situated from East Ayton, head north up the undulating path of the Derwent. Watch out for car parks on the way as these appear suddenly aroung the next bend. Also there is a large feeding station with parking thats well worth a stop. From the car parks, paths cross the river onto board walks that cover the whole length of the valley. But beware, despite the narrowness of the path, it is littered with dog mess. Can you believe owners let their mutts loose on such a restricted path?:-

MARSH TIT*, Jay, Willow Tit, Nuthatch, Blackcap, Garden Warbler, Yellow Wagtail.
