9th February '09 Attenborough Nature Reserve

Cold, foggy, cleared at mid-day but low cloud.

Attenborough Nature Reserve

I went to the rugby ground first to check out the Stonechats. As I found at Erewash Field there was no sign of them. I'm sure its the snow cover thats the problem. The Trent provided some nice treats with a pair of Goldeneye and Goosanders. By the time I got to the Bittern hide I was desperate for a sit down and some lunch. However the place was overrun with Notts Wildlife volenteers. The hide had been vandalised over the weekend!

Pheasant, Bullfinch, Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Goosander, Goldeneye, Kestrel, Teal, Common Gull, Reed Bunting, LTTit, Usual.
