10th February '09 Wollaton Park

Very Cold, cloudy.

Wollaton Park

Most of the snow has cleared now. For some reasen the Treecreepers are a bit scarce. I really don't think I've seen a deal if they are not on the list. Like the Stonechats they've gone off the radar for the moment. I did notice more frolicking about than normal. For instance the Greater Spotted WP's were now a pair and were constantly together, and messing about like a couple of kids. I saw tits raiding old nests presumably for building material for new ones. Seems a bit early considering how cold it is. I'll have to check up when they are normally this activity.

Greater Spotted WP, Nuthatch, Goldcrest, Redwing, Wren, Chaffinch, LTT.
