Buckton Cliffs.
The pond at Buckton.
Following our last trip to the pond at Buckton, which gave us our first sighting of a Garganey, we noticed a signposted route to the cliffs and thought it would be worth checking out at a later date. Well we checked it out. Its a very steady trod with hegderows of Linnets and Yellowhammers. The only bad thing I can say about the route is a point where the path turns a sharp left taking it across the water source that supplies the pond at the bottom. When the cliffs are reached there is very little to see below or along as the path is too far from the edge and the vegetation quite dense. But all in all if you have a couple of hours to spare and fancy getting some nice pictures of the Yellowhammers then you will not be disappointed here.

Yellowhammers, Linnets, Wigeon.
