Filey Dams
Notice more of the margins for the waders.
We met up with J&G today, spent an hour or so in the hides then had a stroll along the promenade followed by fish and chips on the cliff top. When we returned to the car park next to the golf club we noticed half a dozen Fieldfare on the grass. They made frequent visits to a bush nearby layden with berries. It seemed unusual to see them, the birds that is, at this time of the year.
There's plenty to see at the moment.
Common Sandpiper, Green Sandpiper, Greenshank, Snipe, Dunlin, Teal, Little Grebe, Song Thrush, Fieldfare.
