Pensthorpe
I suppose after Springwatch it is inevitable that we'd end up here. Not that we wanted to see Kate or Chris you understand. Anyway this place ain't cheap to get in, but I can tell you now its worth every penny. Imagine from a birders pocket. How long and how much would it cost to see most of the birds in your birdguide? Well you can save a fortune and an eternity by coming here and seeing the lot and more in a single visit then get on with something else, like trainspotting. Everything about the place is almost like being in DisneyWorld, the gardens, the wildlife its all stunning. If I can be allowed to make one criticism it is that the hides are woefully too small. In all the hides when you'd finished queeing to get a seat you had barely minutes before you had to forsake it for new arrivals who probably thought you'd been there all day! And most of them you were giving your seat up for hadn't even got any optics!
You should see the gardens.
Willow, Garden, Sedge Warbler, Chiffchaff, Whitethroat.
