North Cave Wetlands
Yet another fine day, another nice sausage butty, and another first. This run can't last so I'm milking it for all its worth. Not a lot to get excited about around the ponds and the main interest was in the land birds. A lone Red Kite heading towards the hills to the northwest was a sight to behold as it avoided the harassment of a couple of Carrion Crow. Then as on out last visit here a Willow Warbler not far from where we saw it before.

Red Kite*, Willow Warbler, Avocet, Ringed Plover, Redshank, Shelduck, Gadwall, Chaffinch, Reed Bunting.
