Elvaston Castle Nature Trail.
As lovely as this looks a Shoveler has this pond to itself.An invite by J & G brought us here on another fine morning between storms around the country.
It was quite wet underfoot and guess who'd forgotten his boots? You can always be gaurenteed that walks around the trail will bring you peace and tranquility and yet you are only a stones throw from the majority of visitors to the park. Birdwise was about usual for the time of year, but a late flurry within the castle park grounds threw up a few surprises. Must remember to try out this area more thoroughly on the next visit.
