On our last visit here we came across a lot of bird activity as we returned to the carpark, after scouring the nature trail provided very little. I decided to cover the park grounds themselves today and get a better look at the flock of Redwings. It didn't take long to track down the Redwing anongst the many mature Yews in the rocaille alongside the lake. I spent an hour or so peering into the high reaches of the Yews where Goldcrest, Redwing and Mistlethrush flourished. It was noticeable that where the rest of the park lacked the rich fruit pickings around the rocaille, the bird life declined. Tits were predominate and mainly the ground-eatingbirds.
Redwing, Mistlethrush, Goldcrest, Nuthatch, LTT.
